SEO is NOT magic
Anything that isn’t understood well is considered magic. Human flight seemed magic when the Wright brothers invented the airplane. Today we hardly consider flight to be magic. Magicians depend on their secrets to keep themselves in business. Many SEO companies try to use the same approach, projecting SEO as magic. Search Engine Optimization is NOT magic.
Rather, it’s purely science and mathematics. Computers are built using scientificic principles. The Internet is based on scientific principles too. Websites and related code is also science. While designing the look and feel may be considered an art, the working is pure science. Search Engines are websites too. The algorithms they follow are purely mathematical / scientific. So Search Engine Optimization too has to be science / mathematics.
Though SEO is not magic, that doesn’t mean everyone can do it well either. Just as even today, everyone cannot construct an airplane, SEO is not something everyone can do by reading the science behind it.
